Become an Interfaith Influencer: A Workshop with The OpEd Project
Thursday, February 15, 2018 10:00:00 AM PST - 12:00:00 PM PST
This 90 minute session is inspired by The OpEd Project's "Write to Change the World" seminar, in which participants explore: the source of credibility; the difference between being “right” and being effective; and how to think bigger about what you know so you can share your opinions effectively and have more impact in the world. At IFYC, we thought this would be pretty beneficial for the emerging voices in the interfaith movement! By attending this online workshop, participants will: - begin to understand what makes a successful op-ed - begin to own their expertise and thought leadership around a specific topic - identify why it is important that a diverse share of voices participate in public discourse - learn how to pitch pieces to IFYC's online magazine, and to other sources PLEASE READ THE FINE PRINT: Space is limited. We will give priority to current undergraduates and #IFYCalumni. If you attended this webinar last year, we will place you on a waiting list if we hit capacity. Because of the attendance cap, it's especially important that you only RSVP if you can show up and participate for the full 90 minutes. Because this is a more personal, hands-on virtual workshop, only participants will receive a recording afterward.
