Interfaith Leadership in 2018: A Conversation with Eboo Patel
Thursday, January 18, 2018 6:00:00 PM UTC - 8:30:00 PM UTC
A year ago this January, a new administration was sworn into office in Washington, DC. No matter your political perspective, we can all agree that issues of religious identity and diversity have been unavoidable over the last year – from college campuses to the halls of Congress. What might interfaith leadership look like in 2018? Join Interfaith Youth Core’s Founder and President, Eboo Patel, to reflect on the year behind us and the year ahead. Together we will pause to review concepts that are core to interfaith leadership; articulate how we’re feeling at this one year anniversary of the inauguration; and chart pathways toward pluralism at our campus institutions and beyond. Participants in this session will: - Learn (or review) some key principles of interfaith leadership from Eboo Patel, the author of Interfaith Leadership: A Primer - Pause to reflect on major news headlines and events from 2017 - Look ahead to what might be possible on your own campus/in your own community in the coming year - Have the opportunity to remain online for 30 extra minutes for a post-webinar virtual discussion. It’s always hard to stop chatting at the hour mark, so we invite you to stay on and continue the virtual conversation in the chat box, sharing ideas, resources, and tips.
