Exploring First-Year Perspectives on Worldview Diversity
Wednesday, December 6, 2017 7:00:00 PM UTC - 9:00:00 PM UTC
The Interfaith Diversity Experiences & Attitudes Longitudinal Survey (IDEALS) is a four-year study examining how undergraduates from 122 campuses across the country engage with religious, non-religious, and spiritual diversity while in college. You can learn more at ifyc.org/ideals. In this one hour webinar, Dr. Matthew Mayhew will present a year of findings from first-year students. By participating in this session, attendees will: 1) Understand the institutional conditions and educational practices that lead to student learning and development in the areas of pluralism and attitudes toward religiously-diverse others. 2) Locate these findings within the broader context of how college affects students. 3) Be equipped with strategic action steps for campus interventions based on the presented research.
